German KfW Development Bank has approved a €3.5m grant for Ulcinj-based Solana salt pans, the vice president of the Municipality of Ulcinj Zenepa Lika said.

She told Radio Montenegro that a prerequisite for obtaining these funds was registering Solana on the Ramsar’s protected wetlands list, portal UL Info carried.

“This is a huge sum, which would help to rehabilitate devastated Solana’s site and its infrastructure,” Lika said.
